Need Suggestions on Headlights/Taillights/HID

I'm wanting to upgrade my headlights but I'm not really sure which route I want to take. I like these....

Black eBay Projectors

....But the auctions says they're not compatible with HID systems. Does that mean the HID bulb is too long or I would have to dremel out the opening to fit? I'm concerned with HID because I've always read that visibility is horrible with halogens in projectors.

I also noticed this auction....

eBay One Piece Halo Projectors with HID

....My only concern would be I would almost be forced to find Halo Fogs to compliment them when I've modified the hell out of my Hella 1300s to get them to fit behind the bumper. Moreover, there is not much detail about the HID system except the continuous mention of the one year warranty. The One Piece Projectors have been growing on me and they always seem to have better fitment than the ones above.

That brings me to HID systems like these....

HID I

HID II

....I've read that these are great and then I've read that anything below $150 is garbage. I'm hoping that someone can link me to one that has worked well and been reliable.

I'm just about as split on Tails as I am on Headlights. I have these right now....

Chrome Altezzas

....I've been throwing around the idea of hitting them with a few coats of VHT Niteshades to make them blend a bit better with my paint lol but then I saw these....

Black Altezzas

....I like both but I'm leaning toward the first because a can of Niteshades is a bit cheaper than brand new Tails lol. Before anyone says Toyos or stock, I like 00+ Toyos but I just can't justify the price when I like the above style of Altezza just as much. I've never been a fan of stock so they're out too.

I know I'm going to get plenty of "It's your car, do what you want" responses. But honestly I like all the choices and would like some feedback from those with these actual items. I'm not out to make my car the pride of JBOers, I just want some intelligent opinions as to why this would look good or this would work better with this, etc.

My Input, Just bought the One Piece Projectors, Havet got them yet so no info on that. However I DO plan to tint them, but not with the VHT crap, I have another method (my dayjob) Look for pics in photos and Media at the end of the week.

As far as HID's I am Running the Ebay $67.50 Kit in my OEM headlights, and Have installed the eact same kit in a few customers cars, they are TRUE blug and play, no complaints and FAST shipping(2days) Like I pay for them on a monday and get them Wensday. If all kits under $150 are garbage, I love my Garbage!

My Foglight HIDs are using OEM RX8 Hid Balasts Paired with a set of 881 HID bulbs, Love them! I bought them back when HIDs were first comming ut and paid around $300 for the ballasts but only $25 for the bulbs last week.

If you want to see my 67.50 HIDs and my RX8ballasts and 881 HIDs look in Photos and Media.

I keep looking at the One Piece Projectors and liking them more and more so I'm going to pick up a set.

Could you give me a link to the 67.50 HIDs? I'm still not sure if that would be a better option than getting the Halos and HID together in one auction.

I'm going to go with Niteshades but I just found my stock tails in the shed so I'll hit them with a few coats and see how they turn out.

dont buy the one piece projectors. when you go to aim them properly the corner will stick out past the fender and look like @!#$. get the 2 piece ones.

for tails i say either stocks tinted with vht. (my prefference) or if you want atezzas then go with the black ones and hit them up with a few coats of vht that would probly look nice.

Not trying to shamelessly promote myself But I have a better option than VHT, Same way I did all my lenses, Very Uniform, Dosent have the "orange peel" look that VHT does, and its removable.

The HID Kits:
http://search.ebay.com/hid-conversion-kit_W0QQfromZR40QQpqryZHIDQ20ConversonQ20kit

and that package dela with the one piece projectors and the HID kit has the same kit as the 67.50 kit, Buy them seperate, its $45 cheaper.

I'm interested in hearing your better-than-VHT option.

$67.50 Shipped HIDs

Direct link lol but they sound good judging from the feedback and your post in P&M.

I actually did a quick photoshop and the Halos just don't go with my 1300s and, soon to be, Hella 500s.

I've all but convinced myself to go with the two piece projectors but, after searching, I'm a bit confused on what to do for HIDs. Both the low and high beams are 9005 and I'll have to cut the little prongs off the 9005 to put it in a 9006 socket. That's no problem except, in a few posts, members says you have to upgrade the wiring harness to a 9005 to accommodate it.

Could I just switch my high and low beams to accommodate the 9005 HID bulb, since I won't be using high beams much anyways? Or is the 9005 harness even necessary?

i've not upgraded my harness, and have been using the two piece projectors for two years, about 7-8 months with 9005 hid kits in the low, lumincs ultra whites 9005 highs, no melting, no modifying, no nothing. plug and play.

I tried searching on here, and i am a bit confused about the deal beam HID set ups. I understand I will need to disable the DRLs, which is easy to do. But all the HID kits appear to be a single bulb set up. Can someone point me to a dual beam set up? I have no problem wiring or converting plugs, I just don't want to have to modify a ballast from single bulb to dual.

Secondly, is there any word on weather the HIDs will work with the black projector headlights? Or what needs to be done to make it work. TIA.

If you're talking about 95-99 Cav Headlights, most people don't even use their high beams once they go HID. But to have both, you'll have to order two HID systems which means two 9005 for the two piece projectors.

for the tails, just pull your chrome ones apart and paint. hell if their anything like the ones i had the lenses should be almost falling off anyways. i lost a lense on the highway last year. just fell off. pulled the rest off the next day and was able to just pull the others lense off with lil force.

The method I use is an Elastic Epoxy, 100% even so it all matches(no dak or light spots) Dosnt have a flat or Orange peel look, ad its fully removable. If you need to know more,email/PM me!
