Are you sure those bulbs are rated 27w? Sounds like you grabbed a set of 100w or something.

it must be from using after market fogs if there the same wattage.

I would just swap to blazer projector fogs.. just my 2 cents, you'll see a whole lot better.

I'm using Luminics 880 Ultra Whites and my driver side fog toasted the connector, bulb is fine, but it won't work. Pass fog works just fine, so now I have to go find a new connector.

when I swapped to blazer fogs.... as mentioned I swapped to a 894 bulb.... been running them for about 4 months now and no problems... I wouldn't recommend even running stock fogs for a long period of time....

Why would you not run stock fogs for a long time..I have had no issues in 3 years...Went from crappy Silver Star Bulbs To the PIAA Bulbs..I have no cracking or melting..I rewired them on a switch to be used as Daytime Running lights...So they are on all during the day..So one of two things took place here.1,They are different plastic housings not OEM..2,He had a Bulb that was running hot for what ever resone..I had a set of Blazer Fogs Years ago and when it would rain they would fill with water...So i am no fan of them..Maybe they are better now..But the Stock Fogs Suck also..They are only good for being used as a daytime running light..

Blazer fogs you just need to use clear silicon and there sealed. I have been running HID's in them forever and nothing but good.

The stockers are POS's, and it doesn't help the lenses are not clear ones as well.

As for the bulbs buring I def. think its crappy housing's. The only thing I can think of for them is to drill small holes to vent only if there in a well protected place.

I did the Silicon thing with the Blazer fogs and they still leaked..The factory ones have 2 small vents in them already,I said the factory fogs are crap..which is why I made mine in to Day time running lights...I think he just had bad luck or they were not OEM Housings..If I do replace mine with anything it will be with a set of PIAA Lights..

oh crap, sorry to hear that bro, the silicon sealed mine right up they've had a good run so far.

I heard the holagen brand Catz has some really good bulbs. Luminics I have a freind who has those and there okay, nothing special but work well.

To to OP, I would just take the stock mounting brackets, take a few simple measurements, and see if you can find a set of fogs you like that will be able to be used with the stock mounting hardware.

Here's a set of Hella's 1002's I used they flowed really great and you can them to mount and align with OEM brackets with a little work.

Heres what they look like at night ( don't knock the gay blue 8000k's, the guy sent me wrong bulbs haha)

Hope that helps out.
