Hey, this is my first post, and hopefully not my last,
but my question is... for any sunfire owners....

i have a 2000 gt, and wanna change over the back end to the newer 2003-5 style back end...(taillights, bumper, and center peice are a definite yes!)
i am wondering if they are just a direct bolt on peice.. or if i need LOTS of different hardware...
i have seen someone on here with that conversion, and i am HOPING that he will read this post and say to himself, "maybe i should reply, and tell him how to do it!!!" hahah that wound be awesome, thnx

and also, if this is a repeat thread, sorry!!!! i couldn't find it at all... its all about cavalier conversions... are they the same?? or, totally different? i know there is some differences, but any info would be awesome

That's all you need. Its a bolt up application

Very easy swap. All of the hardware and mounting is the same. Since yours is a 00, you will need to relocate your reverse lights from the bumper to the trunk filler panel. If you need more info or have questions feel free to shoot me a PM.

Cavalier is completely different, lights quarter panels, trunk lid...everything. If I'm not mistaken, even the wiring is different. But, like everyone else said, the 03+ conversion should be pretty straight forward.

I guess I should have mentioned that I do have this done to my car. Actually I've done it on 2 Sunfires.

I just did this conversion on my 02 SE as well. Quick and painless.
