Thats right ladies and gentlemen, here it is for a the first time appearing on a cavalier (at least as far as I have seen on here) Lamin-x headlight film + cavalier! I've been looking around for a while to see if anyone else had done this on here and I didnt find anyone with it so I figured hell I'll pull the trigger and do it myself. So without further ado, here she is.
Keep in mind this is just a teaser, Ill have a full writeup step by step how to up tomorrow or friday. I also have clear corners on the way that need to be covered and the fog lights need to be done but I just wanted to show off what I got done today. Stay tuned for more information
P.S. ignore the rust on the hood, the whole car is still in progress.

Thats not new, your not the first, and there's really not a need for a write up... clean it, apply it, heat it. But whatever floats your boat, knock yourself out
I'd rather see it with a drop.
maybe on an old school vdub, but doesnt suit cavs at all. Just my opinion.
And yeah, its been done.
Looks like theyre really old and shotty. Not a fan a bit.

It's begging for black projectors and corners but the yellow doesn't look too bad.
doesn't look to bad, would look better if u did the corners, fogs and markers

Show me where, I searched for lamin-x and yellow headlights at least 15 times. I found people with yellow bulbs but I have not seen anyone with the tinted lenses. Also Lamin-x doesnt make a precut for the older cavaliers as far as I saw so it wasnt just clean and apply smarty pants. You have to cut out the film and account for the curve of the lenses which takes a little bit of work. You also need to knock off the molding nubs and then sand and polish the lights to make them smooth.
Like I said I am waiting for my clear corners to come in so I can do the markers and also the fog lights. I have a ton of other work that needs to be done on the car including a drop and bodywork but I have 5 project cars going on at once plus running my shop every day and taking care of customer cars. Doesnt leave a lot of time to work on my daily driver.

Show me where
Why would you get the impression that I would track down where I've seen it on a cav before? Who cares? I sure as hell don't. I'm simply pointing out that it HAS been done..... If it's really gonna help you sleep at night thinking your the first then fine, your the first, congrats.
I got that impression since you felt the need to come in here and post and tell me that Im wrong then you might want to back up your statements instead of just being negative for no reason. If I'm wrong then show me, I'd like to see other peoples cars that have done it. I would assume that if you have time to hang around on a J-body site without curently owning a J-body that you might have the spare time to back up your claim with evidence. Maybe I'm wrong and you are very busy wrecking peoples s*&% but if you can take a minute out of your very busy day to help me out, well shucks I sure would appreciate it.

No, I demand a marching band, a cake with a big #1 on it and dancers, exotic exotic dancers. Also that isnt an old style 3rd gen.

why not just start telling everyone your "The first old style 3rd gen with yellow lamin-x on a black car with a rusty hood from Homer Glen Illinois"
again, who @!#$ cares? You claimed to be the first cavalier, I was simply informing you that you are NOT the first cavalier. I don't see why this conversation has gone past that. You cried and wanted proof so I gave it to you, now your saying its not an older style cavalier (YOU said cavalier).
So like I said before....

Thats where I was going to end up at so well played to you sir, checkmate.
P.S. I dont give a rats rear end if I'm first or not, I thought my sarcasm in my previous post was painfully obviously, but obviously not painful enough....
P.P.S. I will sleep very well tonight now knowing that without a doubt I am the first. The guy with the yellow car did his after he saw how sweet mine looked. I'm such a trend setter.

maybe, but not for the headlights. First off the light output color really isnt altered that much so a cop would be hard pressed to tell the difference and on top of that read your vehicle equipment code for lighting, nothing in there against yellow headlights or driving lights. Cant be blue, red, green, purple etc but nothing about yellow. Some cars come from the factory with yellow fog lights anyway.

I think your car is suffering from liver failure. You should get that checked ASAP.

Doesn't look as bad as I thought.
It's been done before, who cares, not really much innovative you can do in this scene anymore.
