Well i searched and cant find anything, doesent help that i dont know what the hell to search and everything ive tried doesent help.
I have have a red 97 fire gt and the black plastic pieces behind the window on the doors look nasty, they are all faded and the clear coat is partially worn away leaving white edges where the plastic is exposed and the clear starts again.
So i was wondering how to get them off?
Will sanding them down and putting a few new coats of clear on fix them?
Or is there nothing i can do about it.
Thanks
BB
the window trim? the peice between the door and the glass? if so they snap in i believe. you can order new ones or just paint your. mask off around them and hit it with a few coats of black.
Yeah they kinda clip in and there's 3 screws. You gotta roll down the window and pull the weather stripping away from the side on the door and you'll see the screws. Make sure you don't over tighten the screws cause they'll crack. Try painting them if you wish but I ordered new ones from GM, they where 45 bucks (CAN) each.

Would i have to paint them black or would just some clear do it?
I was thinking about buying new ones but 45 bucks a piece is way more than what im willing to pay for something that i can live with if it comes down to it. lol
Thanks for the help

Not sure how it would work my friend. Try very fine sandpaper and sand it down a bit and clear it. Worth a shot
