I am in the process of purchasing a 2000 Cavalier, I have been searching the forums all night this evening. Trying to see if anyone has done a front end swap to a 2000 Cavalier and put a Sunfire front end on it. My main reason for asking about this is because I am trying to find out when looking to buy the parts for the swap if I would be better off buying the aftermarket fenders and hood that I want, as well as possibly some aftermarket headlights instead of buying the stocks to convert then buying the aftermarket later.
I have this fear about the purchasing of the aftermarket parts first because I am worried that the parts might not be an exact OEM replacement as I have heard so many times and at that rate body lines or details not matching up quite right. Anyone know of anyone who has tried this conversion. I read in the how-to's what the parts list is to convert the front end. Just wondering if anyone has done it and what problems with parts have they found.
Thanks in advance
try the sticky....in this forum.....
There's plenty of people here that have done that conversion. Most times aftermarket parts have horrible fitment. Fenders are one of the worst fiberglass parts to deal with in my opinion. Nothing fits quite like stock parts do.
