anyone ever used hella 9007 100/80 bulds in there cars? I put a set in tonight and they work wonderful, I am kind of concerned about my wiring, I turned them on and ran the car for about 1 hour with the lights on and the wires never got hot at all, I am still using the factory headlight wiring for this project. I would appreciate any input from those who have used these bulbs. thanks

They look to be good bulbs but on the hella site state only for offroad use. Plus they are 100/80 watt bulbs. I think OEM are 65/55 watt so maybe there might be a chance of burning out your wiring. Dont quote me on it though. Do you have pictures of the bulbs and light output? Is it much brighter?

Please update.

Might be a legality issue.

100W is only 8.33A at 12V per lamp. Dont recall what size wire is used in the headlight harness or what type of insulation is on it but you may be close to the limit of the insulation.

The wiring won't be the issue, but the plug might be. However I put a set of high wattage bulbs on my best friends 2001 Cavalier back in 2000 and they worked up until 2005 w/ no issues.
