ive looked and looked and couldnt find anything.
anyone know if there a forum on how to build
the projector headlight if you have all the parts
[with lots of pics] to make your own??
thanks guys!
...all i saw was the painting sticky for 2000-02
and i know that most people buy the ebay style ones for 1995-99.
also i saw the Crash Course. which is not really what i am looking for.
so just wondering, if there IS a 2000-02 HOW to on this, can u post up a link or somethin?
i couldnt find a single thing. most people just asking if a company makes a set. and we all know thats a NO.
id be willing to sell mine for 150 plus shipping with HID's. all that needs to be done is the projectors need reaiming and a new bezel made for the passenger side. i will include all the stuff to do it. even a bit of silicone and metal tape haha. it will even come with my relay harness. pm me if your interested. but i wont take ANYTHING less than 150 PLUS shipping. stuff to make them costs around 250. and its taken me around 20 hrs labor to get them where they are. they ARE Bixenon so you will have bothe high and low beams. just pm me if your interested. most people are selling theres for between 300-700 bucks on here.
of course most people selling them dont need work
lol. i would love to try and do it myself and see how it turns out.
thats y i was looking at that no-cut kit John! also i would like to keep housing chrome.
but 150 is a nice deal, depending how bad the work i would have to do on em!
but i dont have any money, so i cant buy that no-cut kit. not for a while, hehe!
but no one knows of a HOW TO on these?
hey John, if u ever get someone to buy a No-Cut kit,
would u be able/want to make a how to on making 2k+
headlights?
im sure it would be greatly appreciated by quite a few beginners
and people that would like to make there own custom headlights!
also, just was curious, is there a No-Cut kit WITHOUT the halos?
or do they all come with them? ...the cav being bi-xenon, i think would look funny with only 1 halo each side!
[mite look good, but idk. ..always was into the DUAL halo BMW look]
HIDplanet.com Go there it's a good forum

I put HID's in my 05 cavy and the installation wasnt that bad..........its the fact that drl's won't run anymore. Not too sure why and its not a huge deal cause i just put the lights on before i put the car in drive. But installation and everything else was fine for it. I think mine were like 150, maybe a little more.

He is talking about a complete retro fit.
There are vidoe tutorials on YouTube on how to do it.....not specifically on Cavaliers, there is a large equipment and materials cost to get setup to do it, and cavaliers also have thier own fun set of challenges you have to overcome.....mainly getting everything to fit under the lens, and not to interfere with the rad support.
i know izn has a pretty good 4 part how to series on youtube.

do they have projector retrofits that still allow me to use my 9007 hids bulbs? i dont want to buy new ones hahahaah
03 cavalier
us amps 100hc running at .5 ohms
digital designs 3512
yellow top g34

Yeah they do junk projectors on ebay that will either hurt your light output or blind other drivers because they are built for halogen bulbs not HID.
Take the time to do things correct or look like another half done vehicle on the road.

yup. the way to get the projectors to fit on a 00-02 cav is to cut the back portion of the stock housing, plus the bottom of the housing.if you're using FX35 projectors that is. the solenoid gets in the way. cut the hole and the projector solenoid will sit level with the bottom of the housing
it makes for a bigger hole to patch, but the projector will fit level and you won't have a huge gap between the bumper and light when you go to aim the light.
if you can separate your lenses in the oven without melting them, thats half the battle.
here's the stuff i used to make mine
sheet of plexiglass .. heat in oven to make shroud
various nuts and bolts to attach projector to housing
6 L brackets
chrome bezels from ebay
dremel and lots of fiberglass reinforced cutting discs
black spray paint
aluminum backed tape
laser leveller
measuring tape
hole saw
drill
black windshield urethane (dont use silicone!)
too lazy to write a how-to

so far asa Ii know, there arent any 9007 projectors.....since that is a dual filiment bulb....having a reugular xenon projector makes no sence.
And Jason, br careful with using plexi in the oven.....plexi heated in an oven emits explosive gasses that can easiliy ignite in the oven.
