Hi,
I want to share my own custom made clear corner, Quebec legal ^^ because i have a small amber reflector.
Simple, step by step
1. remove the light on the car
2. cut plexiglas with measurement of light
3. put plexiglas to 250 F for 5-7 min
4. take the plexiglas and apply it on the corner light and wait 1-2 min
5. break the plastic on corner and remove the reflector
6. Take a fluorescent panel, cut your white reflective light part
7. cut the amber reflector to put at the end of corner
8. silicon time ^^
interesting... couldnt you just use a clear housing and an amber bulb? i havent had any issues with my set-up... just clear corners with an amber bulb. not sure about quebec law though.
No, Quebec law require a minimum of 2 amber reflector...
looks like a waste of time
maybe waste of time, but, my silicon cost me 7$ and these light without amber reflector is 21$, and I dont want to have a ticket for this
look at the message I receive from saaq
Art. 215. Equipment.
Any motor vehicle other than a motorcycle and a moped must have at least:
1 º two headlights white, single or twin, placed in front, at the same height on each side of the central vertical axis and spaced as possible from one another;
2 º two position lamps yellow or white, placed in front, at the same height on either side of the central vertical axis and spaced as possible from one another;
3 º two position lamps red at the rear, at the same height on either side of the central vertical axis and spaced as possible from one another;
3.1 º red two reflectors at the rear, at the same height on either side of the central vertical axis and spaced as possible from one another;
4 º crossfire braking red, placed at the rear, at the same height on either side of the central vertical axis and spaced as possible from one another;
5 º the crossfire of a change of direction, yellow or white, placed in front, at the same height on either side of the central vertical axis and spaced as possible from one another;
6 º crossfire changing direction, red or yellow at the rear, at the same height on either side of the central vertical axis and spaced as possible from one another;
7 º position lamp and a yellow side reflector on each side, as close as possible to the front;
8 º position lamp and a red reflector lamps placed on either side, as close as possible to the rear;
9 º fire back white at the back;
10 º white light, positioned to illuminate the rear license plate.
I understand the reasoning, but that law is in effect in many places, including Pittsburgh, but t never stopped me, and I have had 0 troubles.
Overall, I like the clear reflector much better than others have made here before.
Those look really neat! Nice work!
IMO it looks like isht... should have saved yourself a little hassle and just bought lights from the junkyard, used a dremmel to get rid of the amber lenz through the hole in the back..
or remove the outter clear lense,remove the whole amber replace clear lense.. would have eliminated the look of the silicone mess..
Aside from the silicon left overs, I like it!
