Made some Sunfire headlight delete panels

So this is a local customer of mines car. He races it on a pavement oval tracks here in the chicagoland area. He brought it to me to make it a little more of a "race car" from street car. One of the things i did was fitted the front end with these delete panels. I was impressed with how it cleaned up the front end. I know these would be pointless on any street car but for a race car it would be functional.

I was thinking since i saved the templets for the plates I would just throw them up on my site for anyone else interested. Im going to have them up for about $55 plus shipping. Any feed back would appreciated. Thanks Adam

thats it??
a roll of duct tape would work just as well....

now if you had an opening for the intake filter............but i dont see the point of these, let alone paying 55.

if your customer was happy, the job accomplished.

^ Typical JBO.

Ever figure in the shaping and fab process? Or did you skip that and go into instant cheap-ass mode?

Aerodynamics son!

how are you going to attach them? weld them to the hood or is there something underneath to bolt them on to?

I did some little 1x1 brackets and used some body rivets to hold them on. That would also be included as a kit.

The hood gets opened all through out the night. That would mean re duct taping every time. No thanks pluss duct tape = ghetto

i understand that there is time and all that spend on the design and creation...but seriously I dont see a big enough gain from those for 55bucks...
and aerodynamics? may i point your attention to the front bumper and the huge indention in the middle section? i really dont see how covering up two headlight assembly openings would help all that much compared to rounding out the surface of the front bumper...
and if that is on the "to do list" i would rather see a custom mold for the bumper and welding sections on the hood to close of the assembly openings.

but i drive a jbody and realize that it will never be a race car...

but i will forever love your car....

Not only do you not support the custom fabrication for our J's you have selective reading. READ THE POST it is not his car it is a LOCAL CUSTOMER OF HIS. Whenever we need something fabricated this is why we have such a hard time finding items. Everyone wants custom fabrication work with the ebay pricing.

Keep your $55.00

Atomic if you want anyone to find your site in the future you may want to add it to your profile.

I usually keep quiet on these type of things.

if this were an actual headlight delete you may have a potential buyer, simply covering up headlights does not constitute a "delete"
