Hey guys im new to the site, i just bought a custom cavalier couple months ago and its custom painted blue and i just wanted to know how can u determine the color of it? I ask the guy i bought it off if he knew and he said he went down to the local body shop and they kept mixing a bunch of paint till they found a sick blue. so i was wondering if i took a paint chip off the car and brought it in somewhere could they match it? or is their another way?

I work at a collision repair shop and cars that come in a custom colour which we cant get a code for we have our paint rep come in with what I have always reffered to as the colour eye. It is a camera which you set on the vehicle's paint (clean) and it takes a picture. We plug it into the computer and it gives us the closest colour that we can mix for it.
Talk to your local shops and see if they have access to one. That is my only suggestion.
