My 97 cav has its yearly rust problem ive tried hundreds different things i sanded, rust converted, rust removers, anti- rust primers everything but it keeps coming back on the bottom of the door panel trim any ideas? FYI i live in mn and winters suck with salt on the roads
Cut the metal out and get new material welded in

Best option is getting new metal welded in but you could try Ospho too
new door or spray in truck bed liner the bottom of the inside of the door?

i have some rust as well.... surprise.... does this por stuff sand down so it can be painted over??
theres really no way to stop rust unless you grind it all off or cut it out and weld in new metal.
if its surface rust, you can probably just get a grinder and get it all off. if its going into the metal though, your gonna need to weld in a new piece.
