hey guy i have a very dumb question
i am wondering how to wet sand? i have a injen cold air intake that needs a bit cleaning up (polished alum) and i got a ebay CF fake strut tower bar that i am going to be in the process of taking the cf tape off and wet sanding and want it polished.
you guys know any "HOW TO" steps that i can follow or know a nice bit of info on this will be great.
thanks
chris
um.. you dont need to wet sand it to get it polished.
you can simply dry sand it with various grits to achieve smoothness... with 2000 being the final grit. then to 'polish' it you simply need to rub polish into it with a nice soft towel. buff it to a shine.
use a high speed buffing wheel to achieve a higher luster.
Needing 2.3 oil pump stuff? PM me...
dip sand paper in water/get part wet, sand...ALL DONE!
Dont use your hands to wet sand. Use a sanding block
Make sure you use wet/dry sand paper. I know it may seem dumb, but you'de be suprised how many people don't do it.
Use a soapy mixture in your water to achieve some lubrication to your sanding.
Watch some videos on youtube... have some patience takes a few minutes of your time. Then put the 10 minutes of your life you just lost to work.
