hey guys, I bought a VIS carbon fiber Invader hood for my 03 cavalier at the end of last summer and noticed the gaps are very wide on each side and the hood is almost a quarter of an inch above the fenders, this is after I lowered the hood latch AND put one washer under each fender bolt except for where the hood hinge meets the fender. now that its warm out I figured I'd start playing with it again. Has anyone else had this problem and has a solution for it? Thanks!
its a common problem and you just get it to look the best you can is all. it sucks but gotta deal with it...
that does suck, Ill have to mess around with it some more. Thanks a lot man, appreciate it!
You could make smaller hood bump stops, those could be the reason its raised, cause its sitting on those.
I tightened the bump stops all the way and the hood was resting on my body kit front bumper but still did not match up with the fenders.
