tried to open my power moonroof today and it opened about halfway then quit. when i got to work i looked at it and the left side is trying to open further than the right. so i get home and begin the tear down. Now when i got this car the moonroof was jacked up and the tracks were completely broken so i bought a used one from fleabay. installed it and everything was fine. had the occasional leak but no big deal. that was 3 months ago +/-. so back to the topic at hand. i rip out the moonroof and lay it on my roof (on a towel) so i can leave it connected for testing and start taking the glass off. i get the glass off and start testing.

the first test was opening it. auto open works fine both tracks slide in sync, but when closing the driver side starts closing first then the pass side after its fully closed they are lined up again.

test 2 same process but this time the tracks stay in sync opening and closing.

i did this 5 more times and they worked with no issue.

soooooo i reinstall everything (except headliner) and test again still works.

put headliner in go inside to eat dinner.

come back one hour later to go to store try to open roof, it starts all over again.

some one please help.
