DD Change of pace

Took a break from my other project today, and worked on the daily driver a little. I've had the sunroof awhile so I decided to put it in. Also decided to put the carbon fiber steering wheel cover in since it was just laying around.

was that tough to install and did you have to add any braces

Aftermarket sunroofs like this are pretty straight forward. They are of a "pinch plate" design. Cut the hole the desired size, upper and lower portions bolt together pinching the sheet metal of the roof. No bracing required. The hardest part of the whole job....since this was a used sunroof I pulled out of a parts car. I had to measure the sunroof for the correct dimensions, lay it out in AutoCad, print it on a plotter, then tape the template on the roof in the desired location. For the novice that's never installed one, it could be intimidating. Myself, I used to do 5 or 6 a day when I lived and worked in Florida.
