Alright...I've been rolling this around for a long time and I really just would like people's feedback
I've had these skirts on the car for years now and I absolutely love how they look. Clean, sharp and definitely compliment the bumpers well. My issue, though, is that the little fu@#ers won't stay stuck to the body!!
I've done the tape thing and have determined that it just doesn't work. I've used the professional 3M stuff, too. I've never used an actual adhesive, though, and I don't think I want to.
I'm toying with the idea of finding some real nice stainless steel hex-head screws and installing them at the top of the skirt and through the body. I'd recess them in to the skirt (flush) and powdercoat them black so they wouldn't stick out. If anything, it might be a cool sort of "look." Just to clarify, I'm not talking about drywall screws, here. They're more or less going to be a specialty screw and definitely not cheap.
Basically I'm just at my wits end and would love some advice. The other problem is that the lower part of the skirt (in front of the rear wheel) flares out sort of far and I can't pull it back in until the top of the skirt is secured. It's a viscous, viscous cyle!!!
should look fine w/ the head screws! if u don't mind holes in your body!

Honestly, I don't; and I'm so frustrated at this point, I'll just be glad that I don't have to worry about them anymore. I'll probably take the skirts off after I drill the holes and dress them with something that will prevent rust (no bare metal exposed.)
3M's Automix 8115 or 8237 are glues that will work, but you need to prep the body and the skirts by sanding the contact areas. The 8237 is quicker setting than the 8115. Then you can use 3M Automix 5885 to blend the seems.

is this an absolute permanent bond? like the fuzor products I used to attach my front lip (for the same reason)?
Yea, it'll be a PITA to remove.
