Ok, I have a 2000 Sunfire, I read the write up on front end conversions, but it is kind of hard to understand, for me anyway. I want to swap a Cavalier front end on it and was wondering since it said with some certain front end you would not have to do any wiring? Ibeleive it was a 00-02 cavalier front end would swap, no wiring, is that correct? Also, does anyone have a pic of a sunfire with the conversion done? Kind of curious what it would look like. I know theres alot of questions, the write up just really confised me. Thanks.

as far as the wiring or no wiring; as far as i know the only reason you would have to do some wiring work would be if you switched from a one-bulb headlight setup to a two-bulb setup or vice versa.... but im not sure what exact years for the cavs and the fires share the same bulb set up so someone else will have to share that information.

And I think I read the wiring has to be done because of the bulbs being switched from 9004 to 9006s or something??

if you do a 2000-2005 cavalier front end swap you wont have to rewire the headlights
Ok. Sweet. Now...the search is on for a 00-05 front end and not the LS sport edition front end lol...nothing against it, I love the look of it really, but think itd be weird on a fire...and harder to find aftermarket stuff for..

Here is a list to help you out.
95-02 Sunfires - 9007 bulbs
03-05 Sunfires - H9/H11 bulbs
95-99 Cavaliers - 9005/9006 bulbs
00-05 Cavaliers - 9007 bulbs
If you have a 00 Sunfire it has 9007 bulbs stock which means if you are going to a 00-05 Cavalier front end you will not need to change the wiring.
Thanks. And arent the fenders the same from 95 all the way to 05 cavs? I know 99+ the headlights are bigger but i would think that would only effect the hood??

95-99 had a bracket to hold the side markers, i know that.

Yep, as far as I know that is the only difference. I'm positive there is no difference at all between 00-05.

yep the only difference is 95-99 has a welded on bracket for the corner lamp. 2000-2002 use a bolt in bracket that bolts to the upper rail/apron. 03-05 doesnt have any bracket attached to the fender for the headlight.

the '00-02 headlights are bigger, but it only affects the front bumper, not the hood or fenders (other than the bracket as mentioned earlier).
