I know that the 2.2 ecotech has baffles inside the valve cover but I'd like to get mine powder-coated but mine has a significant amount of oxidation on it...what to do?

Yeah...you cant sand blast aluminum...bead blast it maybe but I'll end up getting beads inside the baffles and mess it up. I want advice from someone who's done this before. No offense but I've seen some of your previous replies and you seem to be pretty harsh with your responses and short with people. I dont know if you try to sound like you know what you are talking about or you just want to come off as a jerk but you do!!

If you dont want to sand/bead/media blast it then wet sand it. That will remove the oxidation, but will take alot more time. You can flush the baffles out with water. I have even soaked my spare cam cover in a Dawn and water combo to remove some of the oily build up it had.

sand it by had, than paint it.........cake
or tape up the underside then paint powdercoat it

Look around and see that all of the regulars can be short and come off rude. Myself included. And yes, we do not care

Wet sand to remove imperfections, tape what you don't want painted.....go to town.

ive painted (professionally) 5 ecotec valve covers....mask it up as best you can, and SAND blast it and clean it with acetone of something of the sort (dip it if you can). After taht get out the water hose and aircomressor. Run water through it for a good 20-25 minutes, then blow it out with compressed air...Lather rinse repeat, until you are happy with the cleanliness of the inside of it....Then paint it...
