A friend who lives in the Hudson Valley of New York recently bought a loaded 2008 leftover, white Toyota 4 Runner. Because "trucky' SUVs have not been hot sellers, the price was right. After almost two years on the dealer's lot it had accumulated a layer of dirt and acid rain spots. Against my friend's best judgement, the dealer insisted on washing the vehicle with Westley's Bleche-White whitewall cleaner. Is this accepted detailing practice? Should I be washing my 99 Sunfire with this product? Currently, I only use a sudsy, soapy cleaner to protect the finish.
