I read the thread, but the pictures won't show up and I have a couple questions!
1.) Which part of the wire does the ground connect to?
2.) What do you do with the other part of the blue wire that isn't attached to ground?
3.) What does he mean by "loop" in the ground wire?
4.) Anyone know where a thread with pictures might be?
i went to that page and the pics showed up for me but anyways
1 the wire that comes off the plug
2 just let it hang and if your not comfortable with that put a piece of black tape around it
3 its one of those things that looks like i washer that a wire is crimped too

I am still a bit unclear sorry. You cut the blue wire. The wire that is still in the plug gets the ground or the wire that goes to the gauges or light switch?
the piece that is from the white plug.
just make sure that u cut far enough from the plug so that u have enough wire to reconnect it if u want to.
