Plastic Strip Under the RAD?

what the hell is that thing for, I heard somewhere it directs air to the rad. but mines is hanging half way off and i wanna rip it off.... it annoys the @!#$e outta me....

It does direct air into your radiatior. You can take it off, but it isn't recomended... it has a purpose.

If it's hanging off, you can even secure it with a zip tie if need be.

that thing directs air? It is sticking straight down and um the bumper has huge holes in it for air flow.

My guess is there to let you know not to go any futher cause you might scrape your trans on whatever it is thats hitting it OR its like a mud flap for your engine/trans???
mines hanging half on too. thinkin i might just epoxy it back together.

its an air deflector for the radiator. it has a purpose. I know 2-3 people that have had overhearting issues after taking them off.
