Retro Solutions Projectors

Has anyone purchased the large projectors as opposed to the small and installed them in a 2000-2002 cavalier? These are the ones that come with a 7 color led backlight. I ordered a set after emailing the sales person and he said they should fit. I just got them today and man they are HUGE! I don't want to take off my headlight lens until I know if they fit or not.

I went ahead and opened the headlight housing and mocked up one of the projectors. Tried to put the housing lens back on and it's a no go. Crap. The projector is too long. I sent an email to retro solutions. Hopefully I'll hear something back on Monday. I think there should be no problem swapping them out for the small since I was mislead in the email before purchasing. I'll let you know what happens and I'll try to add pics of the kit. If you own a 2000-2002 cavalier and are thinking of buying a set of projectors from retro solutions, get the small, it will save you a lot of headache.

could possibly just cut some of the back of the headlight out and move the projector back. you should only have to cut a round hole, the projector is sealed so then just run silicone along the edge of where it goes through the headlight to seal the headlight...you have probably the easiest setup, well except the smaller one which will work i guess too if you can just get them to swap you. Shouldn't be a problem there customer service has been great for me in the past.

if it makes you feel any better atleast your not cutting this much of your headlight out and core support

I go to school and work full time so I don't have much "me time". That's why I bought the no cut projectors. No fab time= less install time. If they won't accept the return I guess I will be forced to cut away. Thanks for the help, and yeah that's a pretty huge hole you cut for those projectors stephen. I wouldn't have to cut nearly that much. I would just have to figure out how to mount them securely because they are meant to fit in the hole designed for 9007 bulbs then tightened down with the supplied nut. There is no mounting bracket like oem projectors I've seen in many vehicles.
