I just bought my first car, a 2003 chevy cavalier 4dr and I am trying to find tail light covers or do some thing with the original tail lights that wont get me in trouble with the police. I need some ideas and how-to-s. Thanks in advance
buy ebay altezzas with the 03-05 filler panel, or swap lights/trunks with a 95-02.
or swap tails and use the rksport cf filler panel to avoid filling the holes left in the trunk from the original lights.

This is what I did as well. I will post some pics later..

It all comes down to opinion, I got tired of 95-99 tails.

I personally like my light bar. I hated them when I first saw them, then I got mine and took off that ugly gold bow tie and didn't mind it.
Then I tinted the whole thing and love it.

had my 03 lights shaded then swapped to an 02 trunklid and tails
You could've kept your 98 trunk and bolted the 03 tails to it...

i like scott's the best. the rest are good. the easiest thing is to just buy a 95-99 trunk lid and replace it. the next thing would be is to buy taillight tint or tape it and paint it yourself.

yeah those filler panels you can only get at rksport and their like 200 dollars. biggest rip off ever.
The RK filler panels are fine... But, eBay altezzas? No.

Ive noticed in a lot of pics that the big silver/grey bowtie is missing, does anybody know, is held on solely by adhesive are are there any bolt/clips holding it on
I don't know about the silver one. Mine had a hideous gold bow tie with out the lines on the sides and it was held on with the same stuff the side moldings are.
someone asked me about that too. they said do you want to get rid of that huge bowtie. i think it required too much work for me to remove it. i don't mind it that much.

that would have required too much measuring and drilling. It was so much easier to just swap the whole thing.
the bowties are glued on.
the big ass silver ones are 2003MY
the gold ones were on 2004 and 2005s
I have an rksport carbon fiber filler and 00-02 tails.. but I'm thinking of ditching the filler and going for a smooth 00-02 trunk. looks better IMO
