So over the winter, I realized after coming back from a trip to the mall, some dick hit my front left fender, left a good ding, chipped the paint and put a small crack in the upper lip of the front fender. I'm not really experienced enough to try and fix this myself, I know very little about DIY body work, but I'd be willing to pay someone who has experience to fix this for me. Its far from being a major job, but I want to get this done before the cancer spreads and makes this little problem into a big one.

since your car is black, just order a fender off EGAY, new ones come with a single coat of gloss black primer.
between paint materials and labor, your gunna spend at least $200 to get it fixed more if you take it to a body shop
this is what it will look like right out of the box
FYI: up front they're called fenders, Quarter panels are in the rear only

Hence why I shouldnt be doing body work without assistance
lol, send it my way ill fix it and spray it for ya
If you ever want to make the trip down to PA for one of my monthly car meets, I can take care of it for you while you're down. It's a pretty quick fix.

I'm coming down for the BBQ, I'd really appreciate the help. Is it still the 24th? Or was it moved to Sunday?
to take out that dent all you would need is a mallet and go from inside the fender. that is what i would try first. if that didn't work, get a new one off ebay. the m3 fenders are actually cheaper and look cooler i think. they are made of fiberglass though, so make sure you don't put a fiberglass kit on your car or it will sag like crazy.
stop giving advice ! ! a mallet haha... just stop it now.

Please, don't give people advice, ESPECIALLY on body work.
Ryan, I moved the meet to July 31, the following Saturday. And not sure about a BBQ, lol, we're going to Hooter's for dinner, then probably a cruise/photo shoot.
Anyways, I just replied to your PM.

I appreciate all the offers of a place to stay (beats the hell out of paying for a room) but I'll see how I feel at the end of the night. Im about 2-2.5 hours away.
If the dent is a smooth dent, without a pinch/crease... what i've seen/heard works really well... is if you heat it up with a blow dryer... and then use a can of dust off (held upsidown so the liquid nitrogen comes out) and spray it over the heated area... with the quick contraction from the change in temperature, the metal will snap back to it's most natural shape.

You've seen this work before? It sounds like an interesting theory... I'll try it if I can find some precedent of it working.

Hey man, if you need a compressor for anything before you get yours up and running again, feel free to come use mine whenever.

It works to a degree...you're dent looks a little too pushed in for it to fully effective, but I think some of the dent should pop out with the heat/nitrogen path. Give it a go and if doesn't work, no biggie since we're planning on working on it anyway
You could always check with your local dealership. The body guy here at a chevy dealership fixed this for $10 and a 20oz of Pepsi.
Wish I had some photos to show you, but after numerous tries, the dent is no better (or worse) than before. Thanks for the idea anyway, Miss Jazer

Eh no worries, we'll just take care of that dent the traditional way!
