Headlights shaking
Friday, July 16, 2010 9:47 PM
When i drive and hit a bump of just about any size, me headlight shake (i guess thats the best word to describe it). I tried to flare the little metal clip on the bottom back side of the headlight, but when id do it just pops out and doesnt help at all.

Has anyone had this problem? and if so how did you fix it? I am wanting to get HIDs and want my headlights to stop lookin as if i am falshing my lights at people. lol

Ha....
It would just be nice if there was like a way to make some kind of bracket that would have a nut or bolt.....or just anything to stop it lol

I made one using some rivets, angle aluminum, and a bolt.
One of the best mods I have ever done, lol.

the 00-02 headlights have the best design i think . the headlight bracket actually has two holes in the where two pegs on the bottom of the headlight goes into. something the 03-05 need badly with how much they weight.

I don't have a pic but I drew up a somewhat diagram. I'm not sure if yours are the same but here's kinda what I did.
For the nut on the front side of the aluminum (for the bolt to bolt into) I used like a nut with a big washer on it that had holes in it so I could rivet it to the aluminum. All my material was bought from Ace hardware.

lmao... i had actually thought about doing that, but it would be a pain in the a$$ to remove/ then re-weld it every time i needed to take them off for whatever reason.

Minor detail My truck had this same issue and I just put enough foam tape on the back side to make putting them in a pain in the ass. I swear I was going to break the light pushing on it so hard to put the clips on it. But it worked and didn't more at all haha. Looked like ass if you looked down behind the headlight but it didn't move at all.
