im going to be mounting a pair of 02 sunfire sedan skirts on my 05 cav sedan, other than screws in the bottom, and in the ends do you have to have those clips to mount the other portion of the skirt or anybody used anything else (3m tape etc) to keep it secure there, and if yes then how do the sunfire skirts retainers for the clips mount on the car? anyone have pictures of sunfire sedan skirts on a cav? I couldnt find anything just stuff about gt skirts on a cav etc

Please wait for someone that knows how to mount side skirts comes in here. Do not use sheet metal screws. That is going to look tacky and they will not hold tight.

how is it going to look tacky when you dont see them, there underneath the car and inside the wheel wells and the ones inside the wheel wells can be painted to match, do you suggest I use nails??? Do you really go up to peoples lowered cars and try to squeeze underneath it to see if there something tacky that you dont like even though it doesnt matter becuase your not a judge at a show and also its not your vehicle in any way, you wouldnt see a thing since they would be under it up against the body. that would be extremely akward to even try to get in a position to where you could see them. I've mounted side skirts, just always aftermarket not factory skirts that everyone makes a big deal about the clips.

Post was to see pics of them on cavs and to ask if i NEEDED to use the factory cheap ass plastic clips or not, apparently not. After test fitting they will work fine without the clips on there.

Thanks for replies all.

Just trying to save you the trouble of using those screw. No need to be a dick about it. I have used them in the past and they never hold tight they end up backing out and falling out due to road vibrations.. Your better off using the screws and clips that they use from the factory but tat is just MHO. I ended up using the screws that my stock side skirts used and I was much happier then dealing with screws that kept backing out and rusting.

I used self tapping screws on my old cav and they never came loose on me.
