Finally got around to tinting my rear reflector, and damn, what a difference! I was going for the '00-'02 rear look without doing the trunk swap. Im probably going to put another coat on the reflect and the outside edges of the tails this week, i can see where i didnt get complete coverage. I didnt bother with wetsanding; i think it came out pretty good regardless.
Also, when I was putting those plastic nuts back on, i overtightened one and broke the red screw post right off... not sure how i should replace this... was thinking of using silicon but its a pretty big hole. Any thoughts?

I think it looks good. (prefer the 95-02 trunk swap lol) It would look better if you wetsanded it, and clear it.
Ive been thinking about doing this to my car as well.
But overall good job!!
As for the broken post thing... i dont think it really matters, i have one that broke off as well.
lloks good, I would add some to the outer edge of the outer taillight so they match up with the inner reflector. I did mine in flat black, check it out LMK what you think

I just worry about water getting into the trunk, so I want to fix it before i forget about it. thanks though

Well, could you possibly glue the post back on?? Idk how its broken off, but if you cant glue it back on some way, my best guess would just to fill the hole
silicone it. i think i've got like 3 broken off. never did anything about it, but i'm not saying that's the right thing to do lol
as for the tails, i would've tinted everything but the circles (but i'm biased that way
) but if you like it rock on. get some clear on it.
dude i so broke 2 of those red things off!!, i hate these tail lights there so cheap!!
those red posts are made out of the cheapest plastic; one turn past "torqued" and the thing breaks right off. I'm probably going to silicon the hole, because like I said, its easy for me to forget about and water in the trunk = bad. The reflector is getting another coat, and the tails are going to get a tinted border, maybe the whole thing aside from the circles if I like where the look is going.
i shut my trunk and forgot about it hahaha, prob not the smartest thing but i'm going to buy another tail light and retint them
Looks good!
I would just suggest continuing the tinting around the outside edge of the outer tails, so the line from the center bar wraps all the way around. Then give it a good wet sanding, clear coat it, and wet sand again. You'll be amazed what the wet sand and clear will do for it!
Keep up the good work man!
Looks great! Probably how I would do it as well if I had an 03 light bar. I suggest exactly the same as Evilution... You really do want to wet sand/clear it.. it will make all the difference in the world... as well as keep it looking good. Nightshade can fade over time and turn purpley, kinda like (cheap) window tint.
Thanks for all the input everyone. This morning I began to notice the drips and some imperfections that have me resolved to do it again, this time with the tails included, knew I should have wetsanded and clear coated. Doesnt look horrible, but the drips and lack of clear make this look amateurish. Might not get to it until later this month, but regardless, still a huge improvement over the Buick Century - style reflector
