HID help
Wednesday, August 04, 2010 5:17 PM
Just bought a set of HIDs from DDM. I got a 35w Slim 5000k kit and a relay wiring harness. Just wondering how I go about connecting the relay harness. Do I use the stock headlight plugs at all in the install. I assume you have to somewhere. My kit is for the H11 bulb type. I have seen a few install guides but none with the harness. DDM has install guides on their site but the one for the harness doesnt work. I know the one plug that comes off the ballast has two connectors which go to the bulb and there is a socket on the ballast. What plugs into the socket? You can see what I mean if ou check out the pic here.... http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-HID-Kit-Slim-Ballast-35W-or-55W Also what is that connector up near the bulb plugged into? Need some help here guys!!! Pics would be awesome also.

Thanks for the help

The insert on the ballast is where you connect your bulb socket that you remove your factory bulb from. The 2 wires connected to each bulb insert to the 2 wires that are wired to the ballast. Mount the ballast somewhere not touching any metal. You should be all set!

Where does the relay harness come into play in all of this?

Plug relay harness into ballasts, then into bulbs. Power from battery, and ground somewhere. Pretty simple IMO. Just look at the connectors and you'll figure it out.
