Thats funny, I seriously just painted my handles this morning. I love mine in indigo and mirrors are next. Looks good, pretty clean sedan.
i need to wash it, i would remove the pin stripe but i kinda like it, havent really decided yet.
i'm going to redo my tail lights to clean it up some
awesome work, Kooter! Wish I had a garage like that to work in... btw if you dont take the pinstripe off, chances are, its going to start coming off on its own. Happened to my '01, and happened to my '04 shortly after I bought it.

lol everything has been done before. i know i'll put civic tail lights back there!! haha KIDDING!
looks great but i cant help but wonder if there is a paint line.... should have taken them off, even if it was a 'mess' to deal with.
much better though. and nice garage!

to me it looks like he only taped off the door. meaning there isn't a paint line. our handles don't sit up against the body. so as long as he sprayed paint at all angles its covered.. maybe there is some spots where the paint isn't as heavy but those spots are probably not easily seen or felt.. just saying. taking the door panel off, drilling out the rivets and re riveting them in for all four doors is a pita for just painting the handles.. chances of spinning the rivets and melting the plastic or fubaring the holes is likely..
Now if i had a spare set of handles yeh fine and im with you i prefer to pull everything off to paint, these handles can sometimes just be a bitch thought so i'd prolly do the same.
So the question is how long do these last once they're painted.
I've completely withheld painting the door handles because just by looking at them, you can see where all the markings are for fingernails, and complete wear and tear on the handles.
So for those of you that have painted their handles, how long have they lasted for you and is it REALLY worth it to paint it for just the aesthetics?
To the OP, looks good man and nice work covering the car with plastic for the fine paint mist that destroys the paint with over spray.

Thank you Dave and JBO!
my car is a 03 and they come with handled painted.. they look fine.
you dont drag ur nails on the surface of the handle LOL.... it'd be underneath (steel) where that would be a problem.
and yeah, i hear ya stephen.... but i as far as a paint line, think about on the back side on the top.

no paint lines here, plus who looks under door handles anyways, he sprayed all around the handle underneath the hadle, i'll try to get some pics up.
