my 6 poinnt socket twisted 2 of 2 right off the housing. What's the trick?
be very careful. when i pulled mine off i did it early in the morning before the sun started warming everything up. maybe that helped, maybe it didnt but they didnt bust.
Yeah, I have ripped quite a few off as well. The trick is to do it when the plastic is cool.
The secret is to toss the 03+ tails into the trash and get yourself a set of 00-02 tails.
Epicness is coming. Are you ready?
Agreed with Tinkles. I already broke off like 4 of them. requires a soft touch. Seriously considering the pre-'03 trunk swap myself.

I'm removing to tint it to match my outer tails a little better. Ive been set on the trunk swap since i bought the car, but never had the funds. This will have to do for now.
I waited till dark, and they all came off well. (minus the two i has already broken).
Thanks!
My swap only cost me $300 total, parts & paint.
1000+hp economy engine, hell ya!!!
03+ tails r superior in looks, disregard these chumps n just do it cool lol
Either use a nut driver or a drill with a nut driver end. You want the torque to be applied directly, not radially like with a wrench.
