Trunks

Saturday I am planning on making a trip to the junkyard to get a 95-02 trunk. I know the lss trunk spoiler holes can fit the 03+ spoilers, but what about the 95-99?? And im assuming GM kept the same silver color with the cavaliers?

I had a 01 trunk on my 03 coupe, the shade was slightly off, but you could hardly tell. Also, if your getting 1 with the wing on it, you will have 2 extra holes to fill in the trunk.
Better off getting a 00-02 Z trunk and rocking that wing.

As far as color, paint code for ultra silver metallic is the same from 00-02, if there is a slight difference in shade, it's due to the age of the paint on the trunk compared to the car.

And like Slvrblit said, I would go with the 00-02 z24/lss spoiler for sure.

This I think is the best visual mod you can do for the 03+. Im so happy I dont have the stupid lightbar anymore. I would def recommend a set of 95-99 toyota lights to lol

Im just hoping that a can find a trunk lid in good condition, and possibly even a lss spoiler. As for the 95-99 toyo lights, i plan on gettin a set if i can find a set for a fair price.

Ugh, such a hard decision. Well last time i was at the junkyard, i believe they had two silver trunks with the spoilers gone, so ill probably grab one of those or maybe if they have a spoilerless trunk. But im kinda leaning more towards the 00-02 lss spoiler.

02 LSS spoiler > spoilerless.

its an old concept. time for something new to take the reigns. - Z yaaaa

It took me about a month to find a 00-02 trunk with the lss spoiler. The biggest problem I ran into was the junkyards saying they had one when they really only had a base model trunk/spoiler combo. Seemed like they didnt care about the trim level a whole lot just as long as the car was a Cav.

So are the spoiler mounting holes different between a base model and the lss??

Im not entirely sure but I think that they are the same. It would make more sense if GM did that as opposed to having them different. Ill compare my 00-02 spoiler to my 04 spoiler tomorrow and see if they are the same. If they are chances are that the 00-02 base model are the same as the lss sport.

i mounted an 02 z24 spoiler on my 03 trunk with no issues. my spoiler has your name written all over it. lol

^^ Thanks, i remember there being two silver trunks missing spoilers last time. I will most likely just grab on of those, unless they have gotten anymore cavaliers.

Yup,, but different when you go to the 02 trunk with the 03 wing, you'll have extra holes.

As for the base to LSS being different, nope. 100% the same, same holes, just bolt the @!#$ on.
Spolierless ones are found more commonly on the sedans I've noticed (around here anyway). Good luck hunting!

But your light bar looks by far the best Ive seen, you did a fantastic job on the tint. But 00'02 lss spoiler is always better lol.

If you find a spoiler trunk in the yard and the spoilers gone, just make sure the bolt holes are for a stock spoiler. theres plenty out there with dealer installed spoilers.
