Trunk swap
Friday, December 10, 2010 12:10 PM
Thinking about changing trunk lids on my 04 cavalier, since I hate that band on it. I know I can swap it with an older cavalier or 4door sunfire, but not sure which would look better. Opinions?

Spoilerless, or 00-02 style with spoiler.

I was thinking that, but with spoiler. Any chance the 04 spoiler would fit?

From what I remember looking at the yard the holes are different from 00-02 vs 03 up. The 00-02 spoiler is bigger and has a couple extra holes on the ends that will show with the 03 up spoiler.

just get a spoiler less trunk then drill your own holes for the 03 spoiler.

UPDATE:
Had a busy few days lately, had to deal with about two feet of snow in eastern NC (third largest on record btw). Found a 99 trunk lid at the yard, with matching paint and good lights. Talk about a lucky day. Also been installing HIDs on it as well. Hoping to get a good day soon to finish the swap and get some pics.

I'm on my way doing the swap too but planning on shaving it completely on my '03..... My sister lives near swansboro and said they got it pretty good snow wise too....
