Ok, I've gotta ask this.... Why do some people put tape across their headlights in an X? It looks terrible and blocks the light. Is it supposed to mean something or is it supposed to be like the cartoon eyes for dead? lol I was on this kid's facebook and looking at pics of all 3 cars he's owned and they all have this.
It's a race thing...It's to keep the glass from scattering all over the track. Chances are, he doesn't even know what they are for himself

Back when they used to race actual production vehicles, they put the tape on the lights. I couldn't tell you exactly when it started, but it was on 50s race cars.
I dont get it either. Its for a purpose, not looks.
It makes you cool, because you can't see at night. It's dangerous and edgy...

You're gonna be so hardcore! I'm gonna remove my headlights. Keeps plastic shards outta my tires so I don't have to slow down below 90 as I'm drifting down a mountain at night.
