Ok so this is probably a dumb question for most people but what does it mean to have a shaved trunk? i am looking to buy a new trunk lid for my 05' chevy cavalier and i found one that says "fully shaved" i just would like to know what that means thanks

I would expect it to have no provisions for inner taillights, keyhole, and badges since it is "fully shaved".

Awesome thanks guys. With that being said i checked the post i found on another site about the trunk lid and its from 07' so im doubting its still available. Anyone have one thats already shaved?

Just thought of something is it possible to shave the trunk on on an 05 because the reverse lights are in there or can you just buy different corners that have the reverse lights built in?

Sure you can but it's pointless. This is my factory trunk that used to have the tail lights all the way across.



Something like 6 holes if I remember correct. It's absolutley pointless to do it this way and would cost more money. Your better off buying one at the junk yard and shaving just the key hole. The only reason I did mine this way is it was at my cousins body shop and we needed to burn time while a few other things came in and were ready.

Thanks for the info but im thinking about mabye buying one from someone already shaved for the lights and everything and putting my reverse light somewhere else completely mabye in the rear bumper or around the license plate? theres something about the look of no lights in the middle that i really like
