I just had a quick question if anyone on here had used either one of these hoods. I need to replace my stock one and was looking at both of these but have never had a carbon fiber hood. So just wanted to know some opinions on both. Thanks in advance.

I've had a RKSport C/F Blister Hood, VIS C/F Invader Hood, and no name OEM C/F Hood. The VIS was average on fitment (RK Sport was better) and the VIS was the worst for flopping around. I never used hood pins on any of them, but the VIS was close to me putting hood pins on. Also the C/F was more of a greenish color on the VIS compared to the other two hoods. Though thats probably just due to sunlight and fading.

i have a carbon by designs hood for my jeep and its unbelievable in quality/carbon weave is wicked

i have a VIS on my gf's sunfire, i agree the fitment is average, takes some tweaking but looks fine. Have them clear coated to prevent the fade tho.

Thanks for the tips. I think I'm gonna try the vis hood once the weather warms up a lil.

I got the ViS Invader hood and had no problems with fitment, altho it faded in no time once the car sat for a couple months while awaiting exhaust and tuning

have the turbo sport hood by them on the cav. the weave could be better. but, fitment and quality other wise is excellent.

dammit do I want a TS hood...

there is a CF hood for sale cheap near me too you could make it a one stop shop for your car

Ive had a VIS and a JSP/Carbon creations hood. Neither one was anything special special in terms of quality.

I lied, JSP is the same as CF Tech, not carbon creations

RKSport Ram air hood + abnormaly rainy weather up here in Cape Breton = asking for problems?
or is there something to keep water away from my air collector?

ive never had any problems with heavy rain with my hood.
