Searched can't find the thread

I remember bookmarking a thread on my old PC that had the wiring for the saab/toyota cav sidemarkers. Well I can't find the thread now and hopefully will be installing my fenders this weekend. I recall in the thread a picture where they had taken little terminal connectors and slid the part you would crimp onto the prongs from the side markers then put the wire to the part you would normally put under a bolt. Anyway question is which wire goes to which post on the side markers? I know tie them into my front corner lights and that the sidemarkers go in with the buldge to the front. If someone could help me with the wiring that would be great. Can't remember which wires to tap into from the corner lights.

Im not certain this will help because mine is a 99 but I used my bumper lights. They are both three wires, pass side- Black, brown and light blue. drivers side-black, brown, and dark blue. I used the blue wire from each side to tie into my markers. Did a few test runs and they work great, they will blink at the same time as the bumper lights which is opposite from the corner light if that makes sence. Again not sure if yours is the same or not but it may be helpful. I dont remember a thread as I searched as well. Just went at it with a test light and figured it out. Good luck!

don't have bumper lights but going into the turn signals are the same 3 as you mentioned so that actually helps. Did you use the GM saab/toyota markers? If so what did you do to connect to them I just have the side markers and the have the 2 prongs on the back trying to figure out the best way to connect to those prongs.

do you want them for parking lights, turn signals, or both?

are you running a singal filamet 194 bulb in them, i dont know what the markers usually use.

I wanted to wire them for both if possible I honestly don't know what bulb it is I don't think I have even taken the markers out of the bags they came in. We had an ice storm down here so Im having to stay in a hotel for work but when I get home I will post some pics, and I will definitely be posting pics during the install so there is a write up for this. I want to say I remember that you tie into black and brown for them to be on with parking lights and then black/blue for just turn signals but I am not 100% on that.

Just the blue on each side for only turn signals

Brown is the one your gonna need for them to come on with your lights. Well again it is in my world anyway but may be the same for yours. The problem with doing both on mine is if you do that it does some funky things with the signals ie: it acts like a bulb is burned out (blinks fast). Because I have two different lights on the front all they do is switch a ground so it comes on only when you signal with the lights on if that makes sence. Im not sure yours will be the same but im just putting it out there.

I am running saab side markers as well. They are a two wire plug. Im not sure how you are going to make them do both functions off one wire, because one is a ground and the other your switched source (turn signal) or lights and signal in your case. If you are gonna try to run both signal and lights you may need to put a relay in somewhere so it can switch the ground like they did from the factory on mine. You may be able to find a way but if you just run two wires, lights and signal to the same connection at the marker you are gonna run into some issues when your turning on both lights and signaling at the same time. Again this is just from my experience and yours may be a little different because you dont have the two seperate bulbs up front.

P.s I belive John is right they are a single element bulb 194 that comes with them
