So i went out and i got 9007 Hi/Lo HIDs from DDM and i cant figure how to get the bulb to secure in to the housing. the round "lock" that holds in the factory lights will not fit around the light it self.

I am asking help from people who have installed the 9007 HID Hi.Lo in their cars to give me guidance.

never had this problem, the ring always fit fine for me. are you sure you are installing the ring the correct direction, & didnt flip it around?

the ring does not clear the end of the light... i will post pictures in a second...

I think the problem your having is the not untwisting the ring on the new bulbs, then slipping the twist ring to attach the headlight housing , and then putting the twist ring from the bulb back on the bulb.

I'll make this more clear:

The thing circled in red twists off and then slips up over the bulb (circled in blue). Then you slip on the twist ring for your cavalier's head lights over the bulb, then replace the thing circled in red, by twisting it back onto the bulb.

And thanks for the help. I was so pissed off at the lights. Now i am feeling a little stupid. The worst part is i installed a set of these in my brothers Ion3 and now i remember we had to do the same thing. Why this step escaped me i will never know.
