I bought a low beam hid kit. I tried hooking it up today but only the little halogen bulb lights up. I don't think I have a low beam anymore becfause I disconnected my drls. Please help.

I have the harness I believe, if that includes the ballast, and a connector that plugs into it and I think like three wires that plug up the wires coming from the bulb. It's a notto kit I got from carid.com, and I'm just not sure how to get it to work.

well, i would recomend you snag a rekay harness, one that plugs into your stock headlight would be better. it sounds like either the ballast is not hooked up right, or it is not getting enough power to fire.

Hmmm. I forgot to say there is a blue larger plug that goes into the blue plug from the car. There is a halogen bulb next to the HID bulb and that one lights up with the highs on but I actually and thinking my lows don't even work...cause there haven't came on ever since I disable my drls, even when I try to turn them on. The kit is only for low beam. Sorry for the trouble.

Ok, even though the high beam is a halogen bulb, it is still a high/low kit. The problem you are having now knowing that you have a plug in kit, is that the plug in kits 99% of the time come wired for the 9004 bulb, instead of the 9007. The plug is the same for both, but the wiring is different. You will need to switch a couple wires around, if you post a picture of the blue plug that goes into the factory light socket, I can tell you how to arrange the wires so that everything functions correctly.

It looks like the high and low beam wires are switched, but the way that kit is set up, it looks like you are only going to be able to use either high or low on the J-body. The headlight system on our cars use a ground switch, where when you turn the switch on, it provides ground, instead of power. It makes it harder to wire something like this up, I would really consider a different wiring harness, one with a relay, that can use the negative switch signal provided by the car.

like this:

Just be aware that this harness is made for a bi-xenon kit, not a high/low kit, so the end that normally plugs into the HID bulb for the high beam function would need to be modified to illuminate the halogen high beam. It should allow your low beam HID to remain on with the halogen high beam though.

Okay, so my last question is, say I buy that harness you just linked, can I make it work with the kit I have or do I need to spend another 100+ dollars on a new kit? Thanks for all the help by the way.

yes, you can make it work, you would just have to modify the high beam input.
