Fixing Cracked Front urethane bumper??????

Hey guys. I searched, and could not come up with a good answer, so to all you body guys out there I ask this. Last night Chicago had that insane blizzard, and we got a hella ton of snow. Well, working for the City of Chicago, I had to drive home at 330am in it while it was pretty much at its peak. Well, with that being said, last friday I installed my brand new Type J 03+ front bumper on the car and sold off my other stuff. Well, while I was driving home last night, I had to get gas, and pulled into the only gas station that was open last night, and since it was not plowed my front bumper caught the slush/snow mix that was at the entrance, and cracked the hell outta the front bumper. Bummer I know. I know its fixable since its only cracks, and not shattered. But im asking this. What is the best stuff to use to repair cracks?? I have a very tiny one at the bottom where the lip just split, so I know with a little heat and some plastic weld epoxy I can get that back together and never have another issue, but I cracked the bumper on the drivers side by the headlight about 4-5 inches down, and I broke a piece off the front where it mounts under the hood. Now I have heard of this Lord Fursion or Lord Fusior or whatever its called. Is that the best stuff to use with maybe a piece of plastic behind it to glue it together?? I dont really care how much it will cost because either way, its going to be cheaper then buying a new one. I have also read that people were putting some screen material behind it to strengthen it up. I have a stock gt sunfire bumper that if it dont sell I can cut up for pieces to use for backing of it. Anything will be helpful guys. I only paid 300 for this whole kit brand new, so I dont wanna have to spend 450+ on just a new front bumper from RKS. So any help will be appreciated. Thanks again!!! All help is appreciated!! Maybe even a how too? Lol. Thanks again guys!!!

I personally use 3M Automix products all the time..multiple times in a day... Hell I buy it in cases for work because we use it so much. Lord Fusor is good too as well as Evercoat has some really nice products as well. Definitely recommend using a mesh reinforcement on the backside of your repair as well..

Can you fix it, can't tell you that. Can it be fixed, most likely.

Lol, yeah as far as me fixing it, that shall wait to be seen, but im sure if I follow the directions I can and such. Thanks, Ill look into that and see. Is there any special Mesh I should use behind it or what not. I have heard people using screen material from windows and whatnot. Any insight to that? Thanks man!

Mike the 3M Automix line is good like Stephen said, and you could also look into Norton Speedgrip (which happens to be my personal preference)...all the brands are generally the same, and the repair procedure is about the same, just some variance in the formulas. I use the Speed Grip Urethane Structural Adhesive for most plastic repairs, and finish it off with Poly-Flex (you would use this like traditional body filler).

If you're comfortable doing this sort of repair work, it's a relatively easy fix.

Any local auto body/paint supply place will have it, ebay, amazon, tcpglobal.com, pretty much any site that deals in auto body supply. Expect to pay about $30-35 (for Speed Grip at least), and about $30-40 for the applicator gun. Not I'm not positive, but I think Fuzor might have a small tube that is self dispensing, maybe someone can chime in and confirm that.

Ok awsome. I have a paint supply store not too far from me. Ill go in there and expect to spend 100 on the stuff thats fine. Again, saves me over 450 for the damn bumper so ill spend that to salvage this one lol
