HI , i wanna change my 00 Cavy for a 03-05 cavalier or sunfire , but i don't like the stock front of the sunfire , it looks like a bird... But i love the front of the sunfire gxp concept.
So my question is , do anybody have the gxp headlight on their sunfire or different headlight. And please post picture!
Thanks

It's possible but would take a lot of work to make it look good. You'd probably end up going with a system like the new dodge vehicles use, where the headlight turns off while the signal is flashing and comes back on after the signal is off.

I've never seen it done, but it would look interesting, that's for sure!

They only "different" headlight I've seen are the ones John Benham made for me. You can look in the GP and see what he did. Nothing drastically different, but different than stock none the less.

on my 03 fire i took out the grills and turn signals and relocated the turn signals to the fog lights, i dont have any pics of it but its an idea, i took out the hood latch assembly and have a custom set up with a cable that runs from the hood, to a bracket i welded to the front bumper on the inside and i use a pin to hold it shut, so i have to reach into the nostrils to latch/ unlatch my hood i havent completly finished the trim work around the nostrils to make everything look 100% so its not completly finished but it looks good, if i could ever learn to post pics on here i would, but ive just never taken the time to figure it out

The headlights were just normal on the GXP concept. It did have some lights installed in the bumper, but I'm not sure if they were fog lights or turn signals. I've been planning to relocate my park lights, but haven't decided where to yet. On my other Sunfire I had relocated them to the fog light holes in the bumper using the 95-99 GT turn signal light assemblies.

Looks like stock headlights to me. BTW, I loved the GXP concept, especially the rear bumper, Also, I didn't know until looking at pictures, it has an N-Body rear suspension setup in it. I'd love to find a shot of the undercarriage of the GXP concept.

^^Sunfire Autocross Concept. It's the inspiration for my build. The relocated turn signal with custom grills is what I've been aiming for. I've been working on a set of grills. Hopefully I can get back to work on them since the weather is getting nice again.

Yeah! these headlight are crazy !

Or like i say the gxp one look more easy to do , just fit the turning light signal into the fog hole .

The GXP headlights are stock. There's nothing unique about them. As soon as I get a chance I'll have to post up some progress pics of my Autocross replica grills.

the gxp is something i've been working on, sorta haven't spent much time on it, I have tried to make grills before and not been happy with the results, i was never abe to fined factory honey comb style big enough....i've now got my hands on front grills from an aztek, haven't had the time to try and fit yet.

as for the turn signal, i like my fogs, so my intentions are simply to drill a hole in the bottom of my headlights file out the ribs so it just turns in like normal

^^Yeah I'm with you on not wanting to lose my fogs. Still trying to decide how I want to relocate my turns, but I think I have a pretty good idea of how I'm going to do them.
