no ocal shops have any stock and i am tired of waiting they seem to sell retardedly fast here. so anyway does anyone have any good links to a decent stubby antenna for an 02 sunfire coupe?? thought antenna's would be fairly universal but most of what i am coming up with on ebay etc. does not look as though it will fit. as far as length about as short as possible while still looking good thanks guyz

Almost 99% of the universal antenna's on ebay come with gm threads and then adapt to other makes from there.

You could alo take your factory antenna and cut it to the length you want using a hack saw or something, and then put a vacuum cap on the top like I did. It looks factory, but it looks good.

Our cars come stock with them.

Pull the ball off the antenna, Cut it to where you want it, Grind the tip down a little, Push ball back on.

That's how I did mine.

Or do like I did. Snatch a shark fin off a VW at the junkyard for 10 dolla. Then shave the stock hole. Bumper car antennas are sooo last decade.

Glad to hear you ended up doing it yourself. I ordered a Corvette shorty antenna on eBay quite a few years back and I was pretty disappointed when I got it to see that I could have just cut it down on my own and put a vacuum cap on the end instead of paying about $18.00. Definitely a great mod though, especially when you do it yourself and it costs next to nothing .
