Are Skirts easy to put on a 97 Sunfire GT? Do you have to paint them your self?

no... It's a kinda serious post. Lol
it's all a matter of what you are wanting to do... Factory kit, lipkit or full body kit... Full body kits are usually a pain and don't fit without major massaging.
like you look on body kit websites and they they they fit a 95-02 sunfire. then you must take out the bolts and then just bolt the new skirt on.
cause if you see on the front of a 97 sunfire you have the drive lights the yellow ones and where do they go when you buy a odd bumper or back bumper.
oh...yeah...thats not a bolt on affair...if you saw a set of skirts that weren't factory, you would most likely have to trim them down to fit right and do quite a bit of work to them.....then pay someone to prep and paint them...when it says it fits a 95-05 sunfire or whatever, it is designed for the car, but is very far from a direct bolt-on.
This is why this site is goin to sh*t.
why is this site going to sh*t? This is my first car that I want to trick out. I have never tricked out and trying to do something like i want to do to the car i have. Are you a hater?
You are really eager...but you need to be doing a lot of research, reading threads, reading the stickys and faqs at the top of the forum pages, especially some of the build threads in photos and media and seeing the process of how the nicer cars are put together and not posting silly questions...Right now you should just being putting gas in your car and changing the oil, but you really have no idea about anything else...which is fine, everyone has been there, but you need to learn about how to do things before your sunfire is the tragic victim of misinformation and hearsay....
I would advise that you stay away from most of the body kits and crap like that for now...its not a good first step, unless you can drop a ton of coin on a body shop installing it for you...and even then it will be an old sunfire with a lot of body crap...if you are actually serious about it, you should fix anything thats broken, tint the windows, lower it, and add wheels. That way, when/if you get around to a body kit it won't look ridiculous.
Thanks air
