Real quick question and not a huge deal I feel like, but I got tint film for my taillights and my question is about the raised lettering on the lenses. I think its like the part number for the tails and I was wondering do I just wrap them and make sure I heat shrink them good? or should I sand those letters off before I start so that theres no bumps to make bubbles/ voids? Thanks in advance everybody
^^^^^ what they said. i just tinted my tails and sanded with some 600 grit sand paper before spraying them and they came off in no time.

I would assume because they are removable....? the way to go IMO..but I could also see them flying off , if one of the corners catches a gust of wind at high speeds! My front vinyl covers are a great...have stayed on thus far..
oh ok, i just painted mine..but to each his own..i can understand the diff choices
My taillights have the tint film on them, but I didn't do them myself, Chazz did them while he was still on the org. They have the lettering sanded down on them.
Wet sand with 1000 grit paper, 800 would be as low as i'd go. It'll take awhile to sand it off, but it'll eventually come off. I mean you could start w/ 400 grit, then use 600, 1000 and 2000 to get rid of all of the deep scratches that 400 will leave.
I just sanded my Toyota tails and re cleared them, I used 1000 grit for the whole thing. Takes time, but rushing messes things up! ^_^
