I want to buy an HID conversion for my 98 purple cavalier but don't know which site is reliable or not. So far my car is all show and no go but not even close with the exterior yet as I just got all the body dings worked out. Dark tailight covers. strut bar. No body kit but i'm gona lower it on some 17s. 5 spoke motegis. Not sure on which site to get the HID kit off of or what I should do. Any input would be great. Thanks

If you want factory replacement bulbs with balasts, then head to DDM Tuning. But if you want to the whole kit and kabudle, then head to The Retrofit Source.

This may be a stupid question but should I just buy halo projectors and then buy HID bulbs? Im not sure what would be cheaper

If you're refering to CCFL Halo rings, you might want to go with the HID projectors. The Retrofit Source offers complete kits which include the projectors, ballasts, bulbs, relay harness, and shroud.

Also, which purple lights are you talking about?

The purple bulbs are on this site...not sure if its a fake or not but anyway. http://www.blindinghid.com/chevrolet-hid-kits/. If i order from DDM tuning would the kit fit in the stock headlights? What I am looking at is the DDM HID kit slim ballast (35w or 55w) Not sure on what watt, what bulb type, 10k or 12k. Only comes with 2 ballasts and bulbs so would I need to order 2 sets for low and high beam? There is also an option for dual in dual out, error eliminator, and adapter cables. Sorry im such a noob with all of this havent done my research

It really wouldn't be worth going higher than 6000K bulbs as per what's seen here. The DDM kits will fit the original housings like an OE replacement bulbs. Considering you have seperate High and Low beam you may or may not have to. You could always contact DDM and see what they say.

I have the DDM 8000k and I love them. They fit in the stock housings, just have to dremel a slit in the plastic cup on the back of the headlights (it has the orange o-ring on it to seal it up) for the wires on the bulbs. You dont need the error code eliminator or the dual in dual out harness, also you only need the 35W bulbs. Also I have the hi/lo bulbs and they work just as your stock high and low beams work. So on short all you need is this relay harness and the HID kit. Also when you do the install make sure you disable your drl's, there is a sticky for that. Any questions just lemme know.
