Hey guys I'm been working on my cavi since I got it. When the spoiler got install a few of the opinions where to get a z-kit. Well after looking everywhere I found it. Goin to pick it up on Sunday. Everything for $125.00 good deal right? Cool think is that it is red just like my car and it includes the cover plate that says Cavalier for the front. I will be posting pics from before and after. Lol thanks guys for your good IDEAS!!

Looks good dude! IMO you should paint the mirrors and lose the pin stripe but thats just me. Also clear or black corners would go good with your scheme...
And i'm lookin for a spare set of skirts for my z.... no luck around here though

NOT a cai... actually, that's about the worst place you could have stuck that filter. it's like 4" from the exhaust manifold and it'll just suck in all that hot air.
JBO Stickers! Get yours today!
i agree the pin strip and the side moldings would have to go for me,,,,and ya ur sucking hot air being that close to exhaust...

That is pretty close to the exhaust, you could probably route it down into the bumper from where it is now, just need some more pipe and another coupler
Great find. Lucky since its the same color.
Next I would say is start saving for an engine swap. Cause good looks do nothing when you pop that hood.
GMR has got nothing on this
Looks good man, first real exterior mod I did was a Z24 front. Put the filter behind the battery, lower it 2", find some stock rims and it'll be golden
all those ridges..
should have just bought a 90degree bend from spectra.
that cai looks like crap sorry I had to say it

Agreed it could def use a good drop
Looks much better with the Z kit. Deff remove the side moldings & the pin stripe. It will look 10x better. Obviously a drop/rims would be a big improvement, but 1 step at a time, I understand... As far as the intake, It's a fine temporary fix but I would get something more efficient sooner than later. It has way too many bends in it, and the ridges are no good either.
This is the updated version of your 2.2 engine, so you would need something slightly different, however, this is the same basic design you would want yours to have.

Thanks man that's a good design. Did you bought it or did you custom made it.

I got mine off a member on here but it's a generic eBay intake. Only difference between the two is you won't need the 90 degree bend to go down to the 2200 TB. Just search "2.2 cavalier cold air intake" on eBay and you'll see what I'm talkin bout

That is a Google search, not my car. Although my car had the AEM version of that intake before I turbo'd it.
As Cruisin said, just search on ebay for one, make sure it says "cold air" as "short ram" or "warm air" both have filters in the engine bay. The "cold air" signifies it goes down into the wheel well. Just make sure you get the one for a 2.2 ( pre 98)... 98-02 2.2 is a different engine, the same engine we both posted a picture of. So just make sure to get one that fits the location of your throttle body, as it sits on top.

yeah, its cheap and easy to do and will help it out a lot. then look for some inexpensive or stock z/ls rims and lower it and youll be off to a good start
Is that a Sentra spoiler?
