Hey guys, my headlights have gone crazy. My DRL is clicking and I checked the fuse and switched relay and didn't do the trick. So I must have my headlights on so the clicking stops for the DRL. Well, when I turn them on, the low beams only work on the passenger side and when I hit the high beams, the driver side works only. Where else should I look? Does someone have a picture where the ground is under the battery? If I disconnected and removed the battery and the tray, will I be able to see it? If that wire is not loose or corroded, where else do I need to look at and if you got any pictures to help I'd appreciate it. I need this fixed before inspection
DRL's flashing usually means a bulb is out somewhere.. Mine flashed too but thats because my lights were modded & made the BCM think i had a bad bulb. I also tried taking out the relay in the dash fuse box.. stopped the clicking but my headlights came on funny. Not sure what was going on there so I just put it back and dealt with it..
You can't remove the battery tray easily. It is welded to the inner fender well. The ground is underneath the tray against the inside of the fender well towards the radiator support. But as said above, your symptoms sound more like a bad bulb instead of a wiring issue.

Nah, I replaced the bulb and everything and still nothing. I've just read in past topics about checking the ground under the batter tray and what not.
Or it could be a headlight wiring issue. First off, hi buddy, good to see you're still around. Second, get a meter. Check and see if you have power at the sockets. You probably don't.
Yepp, still around! Don't post too much just browse and read. Still have the cavalier obviously. Fun time we had way back in the day when we met up! Anyways, when you say the socket, you mean test where the light bulb "plugs" into?? I assume they are working because when the low beams are on, the passenger side works, when the high beams are on, the driver side works. Unless there's a seperate wire in there that triggers different functions? I will check into that.
