i have a base 97 sunfire, i have a friend that has a extra 99 gt bumper..will his bumper bolt directly up to my car? and he also has side skirts..i mainly want the bumper but would the bumper look weird without the matching side skirts???..im doin prep work for paint now
The front bumper cover is a direct swap, but I would get a crush guard for it too just to be sure it fits properly. You may also need the splash shields for a perfect fit, but I'm not 100% positive as I'm not too familiar with 95-99 Sunfires.
I don't think the 95-99 GT front bumper cover would look weird without the GT side skirts and door panels. I honestly prefer the clean sides of Sunfire SEs with the moldings removed over the GT side skirts and door panels.
well just a fyi idk if it makes a diff, but when we did a 2000-02 gt front swap to our cav the pad accually said GT FRONT on the pad. so i beleive they are diff pads. based apon the fact it was clearly stamped for the specific model. also we needed to get gt liners too as the original ones were not wide or long enough.
ok thanks for the help guys, iv also been thinkin bout grand am skirts..and i think they would look better with a gt bumper...and he also has the rear bumper but i dont like it so i was planning just leaving my clean lookin se bumper....but he only wants 40 bucks for the whole set up so i may just get it all just in case
