drl disable = service light

now before i get told to go search it.. in my defense i have tried.. and i cant find anything in the drl disable sticky..

i just did the drl disable on my 2000 cavalier z24 in preparation for my new HIDs

I just completed the disable and now my service light comes on.. i dont really wanna disable the service light or make it so i cant see it but is there a way to make it go away??

any help would be great thank you..

i think its def. the drl disable because it only comes on when i put the car in gear without the headlights on.. then the headlight idiot light blinks really fast then goes off and the service light comes on

listening.

i had this same issue when mine were attempted. However it was a friend of mine that cut the wire so i decided f it and jus soldered the shti back together. I think if you have that same issue it might be the other blue wire that you need to cut, could be wrong though

if its on u did it wrong....i'd bet you got the wrong end of the wire you cut.

kk ill take a look at it again tomorrow when i get a chance thank you all for the advice so far.. ill keep you all posted

It's the only DARK blue wire in the light blue connector. You want to ground the wire that goes into the plug (into the Body Control Module).

If you cut a light blue wire.. you got the wrong wire. If you grounded the side that doesn't go to the plug.. you got the wrong end. If you cut a dark blue wire in the purple or brown connector... again, wrong wire.

Mine did it for a while I had a bad ground
