I have a 97 Sunfire and I was wondering if I could swap to and 03-05 rear bumper and light setup. Or at least how hard it is to modify
Assuming it's a coupe you will need the rear bumper tail lights reverse lights and trunk filler piece(not the whole trunk, take the black piece and bolt up the newer body colour style. Hope you understand).
Remove the filler panel and tails... 10mm socket
Remove the rear bumper cover... Phillips screw driver, 15mm socket (I think) and something to remove the Christmas tree clips.
Install is reverse.

Wish I had done it on my '96. Doing it on a 00-02 is a tad more work because of having to reroute the reverse lights back to the trunk lid.
super easy to do and parts are cheap now
As long as you can find a yard to sell you the filler w/o having to buy the whole darn trunk.

03 rear on my spoilerless 99:
heres mine when i tried the black filler panel, i was lucky enough to find white parts too lol. That was before it was custom painted. I blacked out an extra arrival blue one it had.
and the first version of it shaved back in late 2009
